What are Z-Serrated Conical Spring Washers?

A type of Spring Washer which features Z-shaped serrations, this Conical Washer is commonly used to distribute clamping force of threaded fasteners, offering a degree of elasticity which makes it ideal for pre-loading. This type of washer helps to maintain suitable preload to combat stress relaxation between the bolt and washer, which can cause permanent deformation.

As with other Serrated Washers, this type of cone-shaped disc spring is often used as a form of Lock Washer, with the serrations helping provide enhanced grip and resistance to rotation as a result of vibrations.

Materials.

Conical Spring Washers with Z-Serrations are manufactured in both A2 Stainless Steel or Marine Grade Stainless Steel (316). Either Stainless Steel option can be supplied in our specialist chemical matte black finish.

Sizes.

Our range of Z-Serrated Conical Washers are made to suit thread diameters M4 to M20, with thickness ranging from 1.5mm to 4.7mm.
