Self Tapping Socket Drive Threaded Inserts

What are Self Tapping Socket Drive Threaded Inserts?

Self Tapping Socket Drive Threaded Inserts, also known as Cone Shaped Insert Nuts, are designed for creating a permanent thread into wood. These components are most commonly used as furniture fixings used to create fastenings within wooden products, allowing the user to secure an M6 or M8 machine screw into the internal thread.

These types of threaded inserts are available both with and without a flange. They feature a socket drive, allowing for easy installation and removal using either our Metric Hexagon Socket Key Wrenches, or Hex Drive Bits.
