Introducing Accu’s New HQ!

Imagine an open plan workspace that sparks creativity, fosters collaboration, and redefines productivity. Picture break-out areas designed for brainstorming sessions, a coffee bar to fuel innovation, and a state-of-the-art lecture theatre for knowledge sharing. This is just a glimpse of what awaits at Accu HQ 2.0.

With a dynamic team of over 90 people, we proudly supply high-quality precision engineering components to more than 50% of the world's top 100 manufactures - and we aren’t slowing down!

Located just a stone's throw away from our current distribution centre and head office in Honley, the former Brook Motors site in Brockholes is a sprawling 45,000 square feet—five times the size of our existing premises.

With this much space, the possibilities for growth and innovation are endless! Not only will the move create new jobs, it will also enable us to elevate our services and provide even more value to our customers.

Co-founder and CEO, Martin Ackroyd explained, “At the new HQ, we will be able to hold significantly more stock, which means speedier distribution - and our customers receiving their orders quicker.

“We will also grow our product range to give our customers more choice, while expanding into other areas such as specialist plastic products for weight-saving engineering projects.”

While Accu is an international business with a global reach, we are thrilled to be able to support our local community and economy by continuing our growth in Huddersfield.

In keeping with this commitment, Accu is actively collaborating with local contractors, from architects to interior designers, to create a design that truly reflects our vision and values.

Martin reflects, “Supporting our local economy is hugely important to how we operate. That’s partly why we chose to move less than a mile from our current head office, because we want to continue that commitment and put our business innovation and growth at the heart of Huddersfield.

Additionally, we have exciting plans in store for the new site, including the establishment of a podcast recording studio. This studio will serve as a platform to share the inspiring stories of the revolutionary businesses that are building with Accu.

Martin shared, “It is our privilege to supply and work with over 75,000 active customers, many of whom use our products to bring ground-breaking projects to life - from developing prosthetics technology, to helping facilitate clean water projects in Africa.

“Our components are being used in some of the most inspiring ways, and our podcast studio will allow us to hear the stories of these projects to help the engineers of the future learn and develop.”

But our commitment to the community extends beyond our internal operations. As part of our efforts to drive local economic growth and foster community engagement, we are delighted to announce the revival of the Brockholes Carnival—a long-standing tradition in the village. Accu is proud to support this annual celebration, which brings joy and unity to our local community.

Martin added, “The Brockholes Carnival was always an important date in the community calendar, and we’re delighted to be able to revive it as part of our move to the village.”

Jason McCartney, MP for Holme Valley visited the site and shared: “I am delighted to see the progress that Accu has made and am so proud to see a local business thriving. The Accu team should be proud of the work they are doing in providing high quality products for export around the globe, while helping create high quality jobs in our community.”
