What are Imperial Security Torx Countersunk Sealing Screws?

Produced by US based company ZAGO, this high-tech Imperial Torx Security Countersunk Sealing Screw is designed to prevent internal and external leakages in machinery and devices. Protecting installations from hazardous substances and contaminants, even under extreme temperatures and pressures, these Imperial Sealing Fasteners are produced to meet Military Standard NASM 82496 and are pressure resistant to 1500 psi.

Featuring a Countersunk Head, this Self Seal Screw is suitable for installation into a countersunk hole, allowing the screw head to sit flush with the surface of the mating object. Within the uniquely engineered groove at the base of the screw head, a resilient captive O-Ring is fitted, designed to form a hermetic seal during installation, preventing internal and external leaks.

Optimal performance of this 360° seal is achieved through the use of a suitably sized clearance hole, allowing rubber O-Ring to re-shape itself within this gap as the fastener is tightened into place. This helps prevent extrusion into the mating surface, even when the fastener is under pressure.

Like regular Imperial Security Torx Countersunk Screws, this Sealing Screw variant is compatible with a Torx Security Drive (6 Lobe Pin). As a standard Torx Drive does not feature a centralised pin, this means that this security variant cannot be used with a regular Torx Screwdriver, offering increased resistance to tampering and vandalism.

Similarly to standard Torx Screws, this Sealing Fastener allows for higher torque transmission over traditional drive types, such as Slotted or Phillips and offers increased resistance to cam-out during installation.

Materials.

Accu’s Security Torx Countersunk Sealing Screws are available in A2 Stainless Steel. A number of O Ring materials are available, with Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon) options all offered as standard, with alternative materials available on request.
