What are Imperial Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws ?
Configured with a uniquely engineered grooved on the underside of the screw head, the built-in O-ring of this Imperial Countersunk Sealing Screw is designed to create a permanent hermetic seal when fastened. As a result, this prevents contaminants or toxins seeping into the environment whilst stopping internal and external leakages.
This type of Sealing Screw is intended to be used to protect and fortify the most sensitive equipment, even under extreme temperatures and atmospheres, acting as a total deterrent against contamination from liquids, gases and other substances.
Manufactured with pressure resistance to 1500 psi, these Imperial Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws are produced in the USA by ZAGO to meet Military Standard NASM 82496.
To create a permanent 360° airtight seal that also permits metal-to-metal contact for optimum performance, it is recommended to use a clearance hole. Doing so allows the O-Ring to squeeze and reshape itself within this additional space, ensuring that the O Ring will not break when the screw is torqued.
Manufactured from 304 (A2) Stainless Steel as standard, alternative screw materials for this range are available on request.
