What are Hexagon Concrete Screws?

The Thunderbolt™ Self Tapping Masonry Anchor is used for fastening into substrates such as stone, concrete and concrete block, amongst other masonry materials. This all-metal Hex Head fastener cuts its own thread into the substrate during installation, without expansion stress.

As a result, this specialist type of self tapping concrete screws are often chosen for close to edge applications.

For a variant fitted with a Flange head, to provide greater load distribution, please see our range of Metric Flanged Hexagon Masonry Anchors.

Unlike other screws for brick, Thunderbolt Masonry Anchors are designed to be a one-piece, non-expanding anchor, meaning installation can be achieved without the need for a wall plug or resin.

CE Marked & ETA Certified Masonry Screws.

For safety critical applications, or for installations where there is a legal requirement, Accu can also supply ETA evaluated and CE marked Hex Head Thunderbolt self tapping Masonry Anchors.

Materials.

Hexagon Head Masonry Anchors are manufactured from Steel in a Yellow Zinc Plated finish as standard. A Galvanised finish is also available for added corrosion resistance suited for use in harsher environments, such as industrial applications or in marine and coastal locations.

Sizes.

Accu’s Hex Head Masonry Anchors are supplied in metric sizes, with the thread (drill) diameters available from 8mm to 16mm. Thread (anchor) lengths range from 60mm to 200mm.
