Accu Sponsors University of Sheffield Rover Team: Project MarsWorks

We are delighted to announce that Accu will be sponsoring and supporting Project MarsWorks for the 2022-23 academic year.

As a team of 26 ambitious students from the University of Sheffield, MarsWorks design and develop Mars rovers for international competitions such as the European Rover Challenge (ERC) and the Anatolian Rover Challenge (ARC).

Organised by the European Space Foundation, the European Rover Challenge is one of the world's largest international space and robotics events, inspiring young creative minds to immerse themselves in modern technologies. The 8th edition of the ERC took place last month, September 2022, and involved an exciting schedule of crewed missions, international speakers and guest appearances from NASA!

The Anatolian Rover Challenge (ARC) is another international rover competition where university teams put their rovers to the test as they tackle tough scenarios such as launch, search and rescue missions.

Like the ERC, the ARC offers a great opportunity for students to get hands-on experience, working as a team to develop their skills and learning about the incredibly fascinating aerospace industry.

Accu will be supporting the Project MarsWorks team with the precision components that they need to design and develop their full-sized Mars rover to compete!

We are incredibly proud and excited to be supporting young engineers building tomorrow and look forward to seeing what great things the MarsWorks team can achieve in the coming year!
