Rivets & Rivet Nuts.

Rivets & Rivet Nuts

What are Rivets & Rivet Nuts?

Pop Rivets.

Accu’s standard Rivet range is made up of Pop Rivets (also known as Blind Rivets or Dome Rivets) which are hollow, and fitted with a central mandrel, which allows the component to be easily installed from just one side.

Blind Rivets are also available in two other varieties, Countersunk Rivets, for use in countersunk holes, and Flanged Dome Rivets, which feature a locking mandrel for a more secure fastening.

Also available in our standard range of Blind Rivets are Structural, Multigrip and Sealed Rivets.

Solid Rivets.

Designed for securing 2 or more sheets of metal together, Solid Rivets are installed into pre-drilled holes to create durable, permanent fastenings against strong shear stresses. Accu supplies Button Head Solid Rivets (DIN 660) and Countersunk Solid Rivets (DIN 661) as standard, both manufactured from Stainless Steel.

Rivet Nuts.

Also commonly known as Rivnuts, these components are a type of threaded insert designed to be installed into sheet metal through a pre-drilled hole to create a threaded sleeve to allow a screw or bolt to be fastened. Knurled and Hexagon Rivet Nuts are available with Flat and Countersunk Heads offering a number of options depending on the application.

Materials.

Accu’s range of Rivets & Rivnuts are available in a range of materials including Steel, Stainless Steel, Aluminum and Copper. Plastic Rivets are also available from our standard range, with a range of options designed for various lightweight fastening applications.
