A Special Visit From The Lord-Lieutenant for West Yorkshire

Last week, on Friday 19th July, we were delighted to welcome Ed Anderson, Lord Lieutenant of West Yorkshire, to formally present our prestigious King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade celebrating six years of consistent overseas sales growth. This remarkable achievement highlights Accu’s commitment to providing high-quality, precision engineering components and exceptional customer service to its global clientele.

Visitors from local businesses, industry partners, dignitaries and charities were invited to join us in this prestigious ceremony over breakfast treats & drinks. Our guests were treated to a tour of our new HQ, learning all about the amazing people and teams that make up Accu.

Let The Tour Begin!

The first stop on the Lord-Lieutenants tour was to show off our lovingly created well-being room. Welcomed by the amazing Mollie-May, our lead mental health first aider, she explained the importance of mental health, and how Accu recognises this as a priority throughout the business. Our plans are to continually improve this space to fit the needs of our team members, from providing a calm place to meditate during lunch, to facilitating a soothing place to welcome new mums back to the business and feel comfortable to express milk.
