Open to all ages, all you have to do is design your own fighting robot that could become the next FightFest champion! We want to see your wildest creations - from pink and fluffy to a mean, lean fighting machine. You can submit your designs in the form of a drawing, photo, video, PDF, 3D printed robot or even a CAD model. The choice is yours!

How To Enter The Accu x FightFest Robot Design Competition
For your chance to win the ultimate fighting robot experience, enter our FightFest 2024 competition by submitting your very own robot design below.
Submit your design in the form of a drawing, photo, video, PDF, CAD model or even a 3d printed robot model of your creation showcasing the intricacies and details that make your robot a true champion.
We want to see your wildest creations - show us the robot you’d build to compete in (and win!) FightFest. Go as big and bold as you want. What weapon(s) would you choose? What’s your robot called? What tactics would you employ to beat the competition?

The History of FightFest & Accu
2024 marks the third year that Accu has partnered with the team behind FightFest, this time helping not only to promote the event but to help develop the competition into Europe’s elite Featherweight Fighting Robot Championship.
With a keen focus on supporting the talents of students & young engineers who are on their path to drive innovation forward, Accu is delighted to be helping to bring this special combat robotics event to our own home, right here in Yorkshire - the beating heart of stainless steel.
This August bank holiday weekend (24th, 25th & 26th) will see the competition be opened up to the public, allowing the event to reach & inspire a wider audience than ever before.
Whilst the event promises to be bigger and better than ever before in its new home at Magna Science Adventure Centre, FightFest’s humble beginnings as a STEM event are still very much a driving force behind the team’s vision for the competition.
Initially designed by long-time Accu customers Labman Automation as a graduate recruitment tool, FightFest’s primary goal has always been to encourage students to get excited about careers in robotics & engineering.
This year’s championships will see professional robotics teams compete in thrilling battles that put their technical expertise, innovative problem-solving and strategic thinking to the ultimate test. However, the hope for the future of the competition is to offer student teams the opportunity to compete - enabling young engineers to develop their skills, unleash their creativity and ignite their passion for robotics.

Q: What if I’ve already purchased a ticket for FightFest 2024?
A: Great! If you’re chosen as our winner, we’ll upgrade your ticket to the Weekend All Access for free.
Q: Where can I watch robot wars?
A: FightFest is a robot wars style event, with remote control battle robots fighting for victory. If you’ve ever thought “Where can I watch Robot Wars in person?”, this event is perfect for you.
Q: Will there be any famous Robot Wars robots there?
A: Yes! Confirmed so far a number of familiar house robots, inspired by the famous Robot Wars Legends, including Sgt. Bash, Shunt & Dead Metal.
Q: Is it free to enter the design competition?
A: Yes, entry to the competition is completely free and no purchase of a ticket is necessary to be chosen as a winner. That said, if you do buy a ticket and win as a runner up, you'll be upgraded to VIP status.

This competition is subject to Accu's standard Competition Terms and Conditions. For any discrepancies, the following terms and conditions will take priority.

This competition is open to all ages.

FightFest 2024 will take place at Magna Science Adventure Centre, S60 1FD on Saturday 24th, Sunday 25th and Monday 26 August 2024.

The winner will receive one free Weekend All Access (WAA) ticket, and up to four additional WAA tickets for friends or family to accompany them, allowing them to attend all FightFest shows.

In the event that the winner has already purchased valid FightFest 2024 ticket(s), they will be upgraded to Weekend All Access.

If you are unable to attend, the prize(s) may be forfeited and given to another entrant.

The chosen runners-up must have purchased a valid FightFest 2024 ticket to be eligible for the VIP upgrade. The event organisers will contact the runners-up to confirm proof of purchase and arrange the upgrade.

Winners and runners-up will need to make their own arrangements for transport and accommodation (if necessary).

To enter this competition you will need to submit a robot design to Accu Limited using this Google Form.

By entering this competition, you give Accu Limited permission to use your submitted design, short video, photo, or story during the event, on its social media platforms, and its website. The competition opens at 8am on 30th July and closes at midnight on 18th August 2024. Any entries made after this date will not be counted.
