What are Precision Rack?

Rack and Pinion mechanisms are a compact and robust solution to linear actuation. A Precision Rack is primarily designed to allow rotary motion (from a component such as a Spur Gear) to be converted into linear movement. Rack and Pinions are very widely-used mechanisms, and can be found in everything from production lines, to medical equipment, to 3D printers.

Accu’s Precision Racks range includes both Rectangular and Round Racks. A large selection of sizes and pitches are available to suit a wide range of applications, and the high precision machining process of these components ensures highly accurate positioning.

Products within Accu’s Precision Leadscrew ranges are also designed for linear actuation purposes, and are a suitable alternative to Precision Racks.
