What are Hand Nuts?

Thumb Nuts are fitted with a large knurled head, which is specially designed to allow for hand operation. These components are available in two varieties, Thin Thumb Nuts, which offer a compact design, and High Thumb Nuts, which offer greater thread engagement.

Thumb Nuts can be used alongside Knurled Thumb Screws to create symmetrical fixtures which are adjustable by hand from both sides of the fastening.

Materials

A number of specialist materials are available for components within this range. Thumb Nuts can be manufactured from A1, A2 and 316 Stainless Steel, as well as Aluminum, Brass, Phosphor Bronze and PEEK.

Metric Thumb Nuts

Thumb Nuts are available in Metric Sizes of between M2 and M10, with non-standard sizes also available on request.
