What are Imperial Slotted Pan Head Sealing Screws?

Accu’s range of Imperial Slotted Pan Head Sealing Screws are equipped with a captive O-Ring, pre-fitted into a uniquely engineered groove on the underside of the screw head, to provide a resilient hermetic seal.

Manufactured in the USA by ZAGO, unlike a standard Imperial Slotted Pan Head Screw, this self seal variant is produced to Military Standard NASM 82496 and pressure resistant to 1500 psi. Thanks to their design, sealing screws are capable of maintaining metal-to-metal contact when installed within the housing material, affording a tighter 360° seal than when using an O Ring separately with a regular screw.

These leak-proof fasteners help prevent contaminants like dirt and chemicals from seeping into machinery, causing damage. Despite being highly specialised sealing fasteners, the installation process is easy only requiring a standard Slotted Screwdriver (Flat Head) for fastening and screw removal.

Manufactured to Military Specifications MS3212 / 3213 and NASM82496, Imperial Slotted Pan Head O Ring Screws are designed specifically to withstand extreme pressures and high/ low temperature conditions whilst maintaining optimum performance.

Sealing screws are supplied by Accu in a number of different head and drive types and O Ring materials, including Buna and Viton, for versatility across a range of industry applications.

Materials

This range of Slotted Pan Head Sealing Screws is manufactured in A2 Stainless Steel as standard. O Ring Materials for these Slotted Self Sealing Pan Screws include Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon).

For applications where increased resistance to self-loosening is required, our Stainless Steel Sealing Screws can also be supplied with a specialist thread locking patch.

Manufactured to ANSI B18.6.3 standard, Accu’s range of Imperial Slotted Pan Head Sealing Screws are available from No. 2 to ¼” thread sizes, with lengths from 3/16” to 1”.
