What are Round Clutch Head Security Machine Screws?

The Clutch drive of these security screws features a special ridged design which allows for the screw to only be turned in a clockwise direction, meaning this security screws removal is very difficult without an appropriate removal tool. These Clutch Head Security Screws feature a machine screw thread, making them suitable for use in tapped holes, or in conjunction with female threaded components such as Hex Nuts. The Clutch Head is round in shape, similar to a Button Head Screw, meaning it is free from sharp or pointed edges and is aesthetically pleasing. Installing Clutch Round Head Screws only requires a Slotted Screwdriver, also referred to as a Flat Head Screwdriver, making them simple to fasten manually. Clutch Head Screws in this range are made from A2 Stainless Steel (304), suitable for applications where corrosion resistance must be considered. This Security Machine Screw is also available with a pre-applied thread locking patch for anti-vibration installations or with a Chemical Black finish.
