What are Torx Ribbed Countersunk Chipboard Screws With Cutting Tip?
Designed to be installed into synthetic woods such as particleboard (chipboard), Torx Ribbed Countersunk Chipboard Screws feature a thin shaft and coarse thread, making them ideal for this type of dense material. This particular variant also includes a specially designed Cutting Tip, which acts similarly to a Self-Drilling Tip to help with installation, without the need for a pilot hole.
The underhead ribs of these Torx Chipboard Screws offer greater ease in fixing and tightening into the board, whilst also ensuring no pre-drilling or countersinking is required. Fitted with the popular Torx, or Star Drive, this Chipboard Screw boasts increased cam-out resistance and can allow higher torque transmission over traditional drives.
Available in both partial and fully threaded variants, this range of Cutting Tip Chipboard Screws is suitable for a wide array of applications, particularly in woodworking to produce furniture and countertops.
An alternative, which does not feature the specialised tip, can be found in our range of Torx Ribbed Countersunk Chipboard Screw, again in both partial and full thread options.
