What are Metric Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws?

A high-tech Self Sealing Screw configured with a built-in O-ring, this fastener is designed to create a permanent hermetic seal, preventing internal and external leakages, stopping contaminants or toxins seeping into the environment.

This type of Sealing Screw, produced by US based company ZAGO to Military Specifications, is also commonly referred to as an O Ring Screw. These fasteners are intended to be used even under extreme temperatures and atmospheres, fortifying and protecting machinery from damage. Metric Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws are manufactured with pressure resistance to 1500 psi and meet Military Standard NASM 82496.

Installing a clearance hole into the surface of the mating panel is advised in order to allow the O-Ring to reshape itself within this gap. This forms a 360° airtight seal, whilst permitting metal-to-metal contact for optimal performance.

This Sealing Screw is fitted with a standard Hexagon (Socket) Drive for simple installation and is compatible with our range of Metric Hexagon Socket Key Wrenches.

Materials

This range of Socket Countersunk Sealing Screws are made from 304 (A2) Stainless Steel as standard.
