What are Imperial Phillips Pan Head Sealing Screws?

This self sealing variant of Accu’s standard Imperial Phillips Pan Head Screws is fitted with a captive O-Ring, pre-installed into a specialised groove in the underside of the screw head. As a result of this uniquely engineered sealing solution, when fastened into the housing material, the metal-to-metal contact prolongs the life of the rubber O-Ring whilst ensuring that a 360° seal is not compromised even under high pressure.

As this self seal screw is tightened, with a Phillips Screwdriver or Phillips Drive Bit, the pre-fitted O-Ring is squeezed outwardly and forms a leak-proof hermetic seal. This prevents exposure to contaminants such as oil, chemicals, moisture and dirt, ensuring optimal performance within the machinery.

Materials

Imperial Phillips Pan Sealing Screws are manufactured from A2 Stainless Steel as standard. O Ring Materials within this range include Buna, Fluorosilicone and Viton (Fluorocarbon). Stainless Steel Sealing Screws can also be supplied with a pre-applied AccuLock thread locking patch, offering increased resistance to self loosening through harsh vibrations.

Sizes

Accu’s Imperial Phillips Pan Sealing Head Screws are produced to the ANSI B18.6.3 standard and are supplied in thread sizes 1/4 inch to No. 10, with lengths ranging from 1/4 inch to 1 1/4 inch.
