Screws With AccuLock

What are Screws With AccuLock?

AccuLock Screws are professional quality fasteners with pre-applied thread-locking compounds, built to provide superior resistance to vibration, loosening and leakage.

Featuring a thread-locking patch professionally applied by our in-house engineers, these screws offer a reliable and reusable thread-locking solution for solar panels, laboratory equipment and anywhere else you might need regular maintenance access.

How Screws With AccuLock Work

Our AccuLock screws feature a unique compound patch that increases friction between the threads during installation. This patch forms a tight bond by filling the space between the internal and external threads, significantly enhancing the screw’s resistance to vibration and unintentional loosening.Unlike other thread-locking compounds, the AccuLock patch remains dry to the touch and does not require curing time, allowing for immediate assembly drastically improving production line speed and efficiency.

The patch retains its locking properties over multiple installations, making it a cost-effective and environmentally sound solution for demanding applications, the perfect thread-locker for wind turbine mounts which are subjected to intense, regular vibration and maintenance access.

Materials Available for Screws With AccuLock

Our AccuLock Thread-Locking Screw range is available in a wide number of industry standard and unique alloys and materials to suit all environmental and mechanical project requirements.

Accu offers a range of high-quality materials to suit diverse applications. A2 Stainless Steel, our best-selling option, provides excellent corrosion resistance at a low cost, making it ideal for large-scale assembly and maintenance. For high-moisture and marine environments, A4 Marine Stainless Steel delivers superior saltwater resistance and durability. When high strength and reduced weight are essential, Titanium (Grade 5) outperforms steel while offering excellent corrosion resistance. For demanding machinery and industrial applications, our high-tensile stainless steels (A2-70, A2-80, A4-70, A4-80) provide exceptional tensile strength, ensuring reliability in both light and heavy industry.

Size and Types of Screws With AccuLock Available

AccuLock Screws naturally feature our AccuLock thread-locker, a reusable low-strength option effective at temperatures between -50°C and 75°C. Applied as a 360-degree finish on the external threads of our precision screws. Components with this compound can be reliably re-installed up to 5 times without degradation in the performance of the thread-locker.

Screws with AccuLock Thread-Locker  range from M1 (1mm) to M52 (52mm), with lengths extending from 2mm to 500mm.
For those requiring imperial sizes, screws are available in thread sizes from 0-80 UNF to 1"-8 UNC, covering lengths from 1/8" to 20". This complete offering ensures we have the components you need, when you need them.

A wide array of drive options are available to accommodate different tooling and application requirements, including socket hex, Torx, Phillips and Pozi. Head configurations include cap, button, countersunk, hexagon, grub (set), shoulder and flanged designs, ensuring the right fit for specialised tasks.

FAQs

Q: How does pre-applied AccuLock work?
A: The pre-applied AccuLock patch increases friction between the threads, filling the gaps to provide a secure bond that resists vibration and loosening. This patch is dry to the touch and allows for immediate assembly without curing time, making it efficient for fast-paced assembly and maintenance.

Q: Are Screws With AccuLock Reusable?
A: Yes, screws with AccuLock are reusable. The thread-locking patch retains its locking properties over multiple installations, ensuring consistent performance without degradation up to 5 re-installations and featuring an indefinite shelf life for the compound when not exposed to light.

Q: Which thread lock compound should I choose?
A: AccuLock is ideal for applications requiring reusable fastening solutions with high resistance to vibration. If permanent or single-use thread locking is required, alternative compounds like Precote 80 or Anu-Lok 180 may be more suitable.
