What are Socket Button Head Captive Screws?

Button Head Captive Screws are high-precision safety fasteners, which feature an unthreaded section below the head. This unthreaded section is designed to accommodate a Captive Washer, which locks in place during installation and prevents the screw from being fully removed from a target housing. Captive Screws are particularly useful for safety reasons, and are required by EU law on numerous pieces of equipment such as safety guards.
