What are Metric Security Torx Button Head Screws?

Accu’s Metric Security Torx Button Head Screws are a variant of our standard Torx Button Head Screw range. The Security Torx Drive, also known as a Star Security Drive, features a pin in the centre of the drive, which prevents a regular Torx driver from being used. This type of drive is designed to prevent tampering and increase security, whilst benefiting from the increased resistance to cam-out, which Torx screws are popular for.

This type of Button Screw also features a rounded, low profile head which is aesthetically pleasing and free of sharp edges.

These screws can be installed using Accu’s ranges of Security Torx Drive Bits and Security Torx Key Wrenches and are also compatible with our iFixit Driver Bit Sets and Screwdriver Kits.
