Finding and Downloading CAD Models.

Q: Where can I find 3D CAD models of Accu components?

A: CAD models are available on the product page for each component. Navigate to the product you need and select the '3D CAD Models' tab to view and download available files. You must be logged in to your Accu account to download models.

Q: How do I download a 3D model from Accu?

A: Sign in to your Accu account (or create a free account), go to the product page for the component you need, open the '3D CAD Models' tab, choose your preferred file format and click 'Download'. The file saves directly to your device, ready to import into your CAD software.

Q: What file formats are available for Accu CAD model downloads?

A: Three formats are offered as standard: STEP (.stp), IGES (.igs) and STL (.stl). This covers most modern 3D modelling software. If you need an alternative format, contact our Customer Solutions team, who may be able to provide additional file types on request.

Q: Is there a daily limit on Accu CAD model downloads?

A: Our free Accu CAD model downloads are limited to 20 per day, per account.

CAD Model Support.

Q: What should I do if a CAD model is not available for a component?

A: If CAD models are unavailable for the component you require, submit a request directly from the '3D CAD Models' tab on the product page by providing your name and email address. Our engineering team will follow up with the files you need as soon as possible, as they may need to model your component from scratch.

Q: What should I do if I cannot import an Accu CAD model?

A: Contact our Customer Solutions team with details of the software you are using. They may be able to supply the model in an alternative file format compatible with your CAD package.
